During "Jul", you can find little Christmas markets scattered all over town. Most of them are clusters of 5-15 huts selling small gifts and various food things. We also have a big one full of crafts at the "Ridehus", the former cavalry barracks and current exhibition hall downtown. There are some foods and drinks that you can count on seeing:
Gløgg: Mulled wine with raisins and slivered almonds
Brændte mandler: Almonds cooked with sugar until they get kind of caramelized and delicious
Pandekager: Crepes with various (usually) sweet fillings
Pebbernødder: Little cookies with cinnamon and cardamom
