10 Years, Part Two

We recently posted about celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary, and reflecting on all that's happened and changed in our lives since we got married.

Well, you know lots of them-- finishing grad school, changing jobs, moving house, moving overseas, having a baby!  But one thing we haven't written about before is "The Office."  B and I started watching it on DVDs, rented at Berkeley's Five Star Video in 2005.  And tonight we will watch the very last episode ever, #23 of Season 9.

(Yes, we're behind.  Remember the bit about moving overseas and having a baby?  Cuts into the TV time).

Here goes... good-bye, old friends!

Where we rented our discs.

Where we watched them.

How we looked.

How they looked.

Behold the Beet-wich!

This winter I discovered an awesome sandwich.  It's simple, yet unexpected: almond butter, avocado, and beets.  There's no way you can go wrong.  So far I've had it with roasted golden beets on spelt toast, with shredded raw beets and rye berries inside a tortilla, and now--and most elegantly--with beet sprouts on buckwheat bread.

Do try it, in any variation on the above.  It's yummy!  While you're eating, enjoy this clip from The Office.  I always think of it when eating beets.

And you thought I just wrote about chocolate all the time.
